Rumor Roundup: Superman/Batman pushed back to 2016. Avengers cast second villain. Star Wars updates.

Another week, another article looking at the latest rumors and hot topics. So here's Klancy with a new edition of Rumor Roundup:

Batman vs Superman Pushed back to 2016:

Bad news for people who were looking forward to the upcoming Man of Steel 2, or as it’s called at my house “pleasedon’tsuckpleasedon’tsuckpleasedon’tsuck”, as Warner Bros have confirmed the news that movie has been delayed 10 months, and will now be released May 6 2016. The official statement given was that the film makers need more time to full realize their vision. This of course has lead to speculations on the film being delayed for reason varying from script problems to actor’s injuries. If I’m allowed to speculate for a minute, here are my thoughts on this matter. We are not going get Man of Steel 2 in 2016. What we are going to get is a Justice League movie. WB is going to take the extra time to work on the script, and hopefully give its cast time to get into shape needed to play characters like Batman and Wonder Woman.

What’s more interesting than the news that the film has been delayed is the choice of the new release date. If May 6th sounds familiar, that’s because it’s already been claim by another studio, Marvel. Now seeing as the Marvel date is currently for an unnamed projected, I would predict that Marvel is going to move their release date for that film, but it raises the question. What would happen if the two companies went head to head?

Dracula Star to play Villain in Age of Ultron:

Speaking of Marvel, here’s a bit of casting news I don’t think anyone was expecting. Marvel Studio has confirmed that Thomas Kretschmann has been cast as Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. For those not familiar with the character, in the comics Strucker is a former Nazi and leader of terrorist group HYDRA, who were seen in Captain America: The First Avenger. Strucker is a villain usually seen going up against either Captain America or Nick Fury. What going to be interesting is the role he takes in the film. We don’t know much, in fact Strucker might just be a villain we see being taken down in the open credits as a way to bridge the gap between Captain America 2 and Avengers 2, but if I’m allowed to speculate, here’s my two cents. We already know that Ultron is going to be created by Tony Stark in the 2015 blockbuster.  What I think is going to happen is that HYDRA is somehow going to break into Stark Industry and steals a version of the JARVIS program that Tony uses to run his suits. From here, I predict them somehow corrupting the program and accidentally creating Ultron. Course that is just my prediction, and I have no evidence to back it up, so feel free to let me know your predictions as well.

The script to Star Wars Episode VII is COMPLETE:
In our last story of the day, we have some updates on everyone’s most anticipated film of decade, Star Wars Episode 7. Coming from JJ Abrams himself, we now know three things. Easily the most important of them being that the script has indeed been finished. Abrams also confirmed two rumors, the first being the film is going to be shot using traditional film rather than IMAX cameras.  Abrams also confirmed rumors that he met with Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons about possibly playing an unknown part in the movie. No official casting has been announced, but I think we should all get ready to hear a lot of news stories similar to this one, as Abrams is no doubt considering every actor in Hollywood for a role.

That’s all for now folks, but before I go a quick update on one last week’s stories. The Johnny Depp rumor turned out to be nothing more than a rumor.
